Early Bird Program

2011-2012

Dear Parents,

In an effort to accommodate the needs of our community, the Swansea High Freshman Academy will offer an “early bird” drop-off for parents starting at 7:30 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. in our cafeteria during the 2011-2012 school year.

Each session will cost $1.00 to attend, and sessions will be supervised by SHFA full-time staff. Parents will be billed on a bi-weekly basis. The parent reserves the right to pay up front or to pay at the end of each month. All students that attend must pay the $1.00 daily charge.

Students will be required to sign in each morning and will be encouraged to read, do homework, or work on organizing their supplies for the day in an effort to be ready for class.

Students will be expected to follow all school rules and must be seated in the cafeteria in an orderly manner. All students will remain in the cafeteria until the bell rings to end breakfast at 8:10a.m. At that time the student may visit their locker and go to their first period class.

We hope that the program will help alleviate concerns for parents that have to leave home early for work and need supervision for their child. We look forward to serving the needs of our students and feel privileged to have you involved in our school community.
